Miami-based swimwear designers present an excess of indulgences with “La Dolce Vita Miami” collection
MIAMI, FL – Inspired by the 1960s cult classic La Dolce Vita, Luli Fama’s “La Dolce Vita Miami” 2013 collection is a celebration of the sweet life symbolized in Miami’s opulent lifestyle, Italy’s decadence and the heyday of a ‘60s bombshell. Full of infinite glamour and romance, the display of sultry silhouettes, intense colors, rich textures and pulsating Italian-inspired prints tells a story about a 1960s beach bash into today’s modern style.
Designers Lourdes “Luli” Hanimian and brother-in-law Augusto Hanimian integrate Miami’s carefree vibes and rich Italian indulgences into a collection of swimwear and beach apparel that captures the essence of bombshells and a boho flowerchild of the era. “Our collection is inspired by uniting old and new,” explains Lourdes Hanimian. “We combined retro and modern styles with elemental highlights from pinup silhouettes, featuring underwire, onto today’s well-admired bandeau top.”
Luli Fama’s penchant for charmingly-girly accents including ruffles, gold hardware and crystals grace traditional silhouettes. Novel features include underwire tops, cheeky and Luli Fama’s signature ruched back high-waisted bottoms and flared jumpsuit cover-ups. The spirit of Italy includes the current revival of bold, baroque-style prints and romantic laces. Vibrant hues and accents are representative of Miami’s lush scenery and energetic lifestyle. Lending to the style symbols of the ‘60s, crochet, fringe, tie dye and kaleidoscopic floral prints round out the overall flirty and fascinating collection.
