Designer Lisa Curran is known for her chic, sophisticated, and edgy bikinis, one-pieces, and resort wear. Known as the only designer in the industry for making swimsuits of unique European fabrics that mold to your body. Not just another assortment of string bikinis in different prints, Lisa Curran Swim is a sophisticated, chic and carefully planned collection where each style is designed for a certain customer, encompassing all body types: from the woman who wants to go skimpy and show a little more skin to the customer who wants to hide her tummy or requires more chest coverage
In 1997, Lisa Curran started creating the types of suits she used to search for in stores. A curvy size 4-6 with a 32D cup chest, Curran could never find a bikini with the proper fit. Although she tried mixing size small bottoms with larger tops, nothing ever worked. After one too many frustrations, Curran realized how many other women must share her bathing suit woes, and so the idea of Lisa Curran Swim was born
Using the finest Italian fabrics and hand designing all prints on the line, Curran’s swimwear has become one of the most sought-after collections. Curran’s unique prints are inspired by everything from vintage dresses and antique Italian china patterns to the stripe on a quilt she saw in someone’s home. Her swimwear is an evolving collection of bikinis, tankinis, one-pieces and sarongs that complement the swimsuits. Each season, new silhouettes are developed on the line to fulfill the hottest runway trends.
Industry insiders consider Curran a “swimwear specialist” who can advise women on what swimsuit is most flattering and what style will make them look—and feel—sexy. Says Curran, “Most people are very self-conscious in a swimsuit, so I strive to make women exude confidence in one of my designs. I know how to fit any woman in a swimsuit, and that is the philosophy behind the collection.”
Because of Curran’s ability to reach every customer—from supermodels and celebrities to expectant mothers—Lisa Curran Swim has been featured in major national publications like Harper’s Bazaar, In Style, Glamour, Elle, Shape, Fitness, Lucky, and the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. The collection has also appeared on television networks such as MTV, E! Entertainment Television and ABC’s The View.
